walking and talking

We walked and talked along the beach
Down by the water's edge,
swishing our bare feet slowly
along with seagulls and sandpipers.
The air was misty, cool, and refreshing.
The Water was warm.
We walked and talked a long time and when
we tired, we sat for a while and rested.

It was a good time.
We watched the sky,
the waves, the birds,
We felt the gentle wind, the
sun, the sand, the mist.
And we talked.
It's nothing big

But also not small
That we left behind
body and mind.

Along the beach
Walking and Talking
